Riverside County Park Amphitheater &
Comfort Station
PROJECT STATUS
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The previous comfort station was located on
top of a hill, adjacent to an old Parks
maintenance garage. This caused safety
concerns between Park patrons and vehicles.
The location of the comfort station also did
not meet the standards for ADA accessibility.
With the annual rowing regatta at the
Rowing Center in the northern portion of the
park and opportunities for several
performances occurring throughout the
year, it was obvious to the Bergen County
Parks Department that Riverside County
Park needed a permanent structure for
entertainment rather than the mobile show
stage.
Project Information
Budget: | $2.885 million |
Location: | Riverside County Park-South North Arlington, NJ 07031 |
When complete, Riverside County Park will be home to an amphitheater that can accommodate 200+ people, as well as a brand new comfort station.
The amphitheater is designed to work with the natural grading of the park, seamlessly integrating into the landscape. The comfort station boasts a cutting-edge design, utilizing curved lines and stone to give the bathroom facility a unique façade. This capital improvement project is intended to serve a diverse range of community needs. The objective is for the facility to provide convenience and accessibility for everyone visiting Riverside County Park and impact the community for decades to come.
